Fred was born in 1955 near Newcastle in the North of England, but has lived in northern NSW since 1981, playing piano with many local bands, including soul/funk band Hip Pocket.
He has toured as pianist with artists as diverse as Eartha Kitt, Afro Moses, Big J McNeely & Johnny Logan.
Fred has composed original music for many local dance productions and theatre shows, the best known of which was Lyndon Terracini’s adaptation of Peter Weir’s cult movie ‘The Cars That Ate Paris’, which toured to the Perth and Adelaide festivals.
Whilst in Germany in the1980s Fred had a piano bar residency at the Hilton Hotel in Munich.
For the last twenty years Fred has composed an original score for the fiery finales of the Lismore Lantern Parade.
