Sandfire

Local friends and acquaintances while playing at different country venues around the Northern Rivers and Southern Queensland over the past 25 years ultimately formed many variable professional bands.

In 1994, the lead guitarist and vocalist, Mike Aleman instigated the forming of another current successful country music band and with that experience later moved on and created Sandfire.

These talented and innovative musicians have been backing the Ballina Country Music Club artists at music days now for the past 4 years.

AUSTRALIA’S BUSH BALLAD VOICE

JEFF BROWN

Jeff’s Website

CONGRATULATIONS Jeff and Keith, winners of the Golden Guitar for Bush Ballad of the Year 2014 for the song “I Love Australia”

Traditional Australian Country Music artist Jeff Brown, believes that a good Bush Ballad tells a story that will touch the heart of everyday Aussies.  Jeff Brown delivers these stories in song with sincerity and quality. The winning of a Tamworth Golden Guitar award for Bush Ballad of the Year in 2014 as well as 2005 gives testimony to this.

Jeff grew up on the family property on the Darling Downs in Queensland. In 2000 he bought an old Value Liner Mack and has been an owner/driver ever since.

Jeff sings songs about life on the land and the trucking industry, relating to both in a personal way. “Torn between Two Worlds’ is a song on Jeff’s Truck album, “The Open Road’. It’s about being torn between the music that he loves and the trucking game. It sums up Jeff’s heart to a tee.

It’s been 5 years in the making, but Jeff has finally released his latest work “Hard To Let Go’. This album contains a full spectrum of contemporary and traditional bush ballads, from the tongue in cheek “Cry A Million Tears’ to the heartfelt “Hard To Let Go’, this album will make you smile and possibly shed a tear.

Jeff was honoured to work with Stuie French at Swingin’ Doors Studios, who produced the album and he is rapt with the finished product.
